The Call to Continual Conversion

The Call to Continual Conversion February 11, 2025

I recently had the chance to sit down with JonMarc Grodi of the Coming Home Network and discuss a bit of my own journey of faith, looking at how I began as a Protestant Christian and stumbled my way into the Catholic Church nearly 12 years ago. Today they released a bit of our conversation and if you’re interested in listening to it, I wanted to post a link to it.

This is the fourth time I’ve had a chance to sit down with the team at the Coming Home Network to record content and I’m always surprised how much my heart goes out to this work. Leaving Protestant ministry and becoming a Catholic was the single most difficult decision I have ever made in my life and yet it’s proven to be the best decision that I’ve ever made.

There are many difficulties that come with becoming Catholic and what that journey looks like for each person is going to be different, however, I’ve been amazed by the graces that the Church offers in its teaching, in its call to moral clarity and courage, in its depth of spiritual guides and rich prayer. Every day I wake up amazed at how blessed I am to be in the Catholic Church, even in the days when I am so frustrated that I want to scream.
I would love to hear what your thoughts are on this conversation and also what your journey to the Catholic Church or within the Catholic Church or around the Catholic Church has looked like. It’s amazing to me that in spite of all the failings and stumbles I’ve had, that God has continued to give me grace every day to wake up and to live as a part of his body.
