Disney Done Right

Take the most magical place on earth, add dear friends, spring-like weather, precious family memories, two of the greatest (most tolerant) grandparents in the world, and we’ve had a vacation close to perfection so far. Okay, minus bouts of whiny children, the potty accident(s) today at Epcot, 3yo implosion moments, tired kids, the 1yo who won’t go to sleep as I type this…  You know how that goes. We expected these hiccups and are fighting to remain optimistic!  Thankfully the older kids are having a ball and are being real troopers, so there is hope.

Among the greatest of highlights has been seeing Queen B and her beautiful family.  We had the chance to head out last night with my two oldest and our hubs for a romp around Magic Kingdom. How fun to have a great vacation and friends all wrapped into one!

Queen B and me

My goal is to whip up a post after our trip with tricks of travel for any of our Disney-bound readers.  Kellie shared an insightful Disney post last year after their family’s trip. I hope to add some wisdom into two new systems Disney has recently implemented–the magic band and Fastpass+.  Both have greatly changed Disney protocol and initially took us some getting used to.  By the end of the week, we should have the system down and be able to offer some gems to our readers.

I also want to share about the perks of the military resort, Shades of Green, on WDW property. It is pretty amazing (and a bargain!) if you have any active duty or retired family members. They are also running a special in September 2014 for all veterans, including folks who did not retire but were honorably discharged. This is a wonderful offer!!

But until then, I am off to catch some precious sleep before the fun begins again tomorrow.  Have a magical night!
