Celebrated Mass this morning using the prayers “In Time of War or Civil Disturbance” and, instead of preaching a homily, spent that few minutes with parishioners kneeling in silent prayer for peace in #Ukraine and in our world. Fr. Tom Pringle@FrTomPringle

If the nation ends up embroiled in a world war, at least the past two years have prepared us to know just how well equipped people in this culture are to come together, make sacrifices, and do the right thing for the sake of the common good.-R Bratten Weiss@Prof_RBW

Let’s offer one Hail Mary prayer for Ukraine today. #OneHailMarycampaign-Sachin Jose@Sachinettiyil

If you need specific names to focus your prayers for Ukraine, please pray for my friends Tanya and Andre and their family. Tanya and the youngest children are evacuating and helping the disabled children’s home evacuate. Andre + oldest son are joining the army and fighting.-Sarah Lacour@sarahrlacour

I’m not trying to be cute, I just don’t know the answer to this. Are severe sanctions really going to hurt Putin and what buddies he has left? Or are they going to starve ordinary Russian civilians to death?-Mary Pezzulo, Consecrated Kangaroo@mary_pezzulo
Respect to Russian tennis star Andrey Rublev for sending an antiwar message to the world by writing on a TV camera lens with a marker—“No War Please”—after defeating a Polish opponent at the Dubai Championships on Friday.
“In these moments, you realize that my match is not important…You realize how important (it) is to have peace in the world and to respect each other no matter what…We should take care of our earth and of each other. This is the most important thing.” #NoWarPlease Steven D. Greydanus

i’m not gonna tweet a lot about the current situation bc it makes me sad + there is very little that i can do about that. but just know that i am praying for ukraine + you should be too

Just prayed a rosary for peace in #Ukraine, protection of its leader and people, and conversion of heart for Putin and his soldiers. I can’t get in front of a tank from here in the States, but prayer is something I can do. Praying too that the West does the right things.-Dawn Eden Goldstein @DawnofMercy·

Protests at embassies and consulates around the world are a show of solidarity.

If history is a guide, it’s a matter of time before we’ll see bricks through the windows of Russian immigrant- owned markets and bookstores.

A reminder that those business owners are not Putin.JD Flynn@jdflynn

Oh crap. The Ukrainian ambassador to the UN just called for a moment of silence, and invited the Russian Ambassador to pray for his own salvation. Russian amb said something abount Donbas, Ukraine ambassador said I do not excuse your noise, held a moment anyhow.

I love hearing this man call out the Russian UN ambassador to his wicked lying face. Russia has the rotating presidency of the UNSC right now, and of course Russia will block this resolution. But the Ukrainian UN ambassador has his number, and is dragging him & Russia to filth.

“Parents of ambassadors here, all ambassadors but you, are proud of their children.”

-L.D. Burnett@LDBurnett

Going from a comedian on tv to staring down Russia tanks, planes, choppers, and bombs and you don’t even blink is the most gangster shit I’ve ever seen in my life.
