  •  Quote of the Day

R Bratten Weiss@Prof_RBW (February 22, 2023) It is so trippy when you go outside on a warm rainy night, with a flashlight, and see all the thousands and thousands of nightcrawlers scooting back into the earth as soon as the light touches them.

There are a lot of worms out there folks.

    Cecilia Cicone@cecsquared (February 22, 2023)

Priest: You are now invited to share your own intentions.

Me: For the conversion of the guy in my building who never picks up after his french bulldog even tho he’s tiny and poop bags are cheap.

    Priest: …

Me: WE PRAY TO THE LORD

  •  Quote of the Day

mary clare sheaf@ClareLoCoco (February 23, 2023)  Woke up with the sense that today was a significant day. Couldn’t recall why. It just occurred to me that Feb. 23 is the birthday of my 3rd grade best friend (whom I haven’t spoken with in years).

It’s insane how information you memorize in childhood is burned into your brain.

  •  Quotes of the Day

Catholic Young Earth Creationist (Feb 24, 2023) People don’t realize how deep a lot of the dinosaur hoax goes.

Mike Lewis@mfjlewis (February 25, 2023) You do realize that your rejection of basic scientific knowledge does not help your credibility in other areas, correct?

How common is dinosaur denialism? This concept is new to me.
I thought YECs believed that dinosaurs are in the Bible (in the book of Job or something) and existed concurrently with early humans 5k-6k years ago, like the Flintstones.
I could see this premise utilized in a no-budget alternative to the Jurassic movies.
Maybe a straight-to-video sequel to the National Treasure movies, starring Kirk Cameron in the Nic Cage role?

Epigonias@epigonias (February 25, 2023) Kirk Cameron has to break into the Smithsonian to steal a banana shaped Flintstones car with a Crocoduck skull on its hood.

Tonight I mixed up Aragorn and Aragog while playing fishbowl and I feel like half of my friends on here would have been so disappointed in me
