5 Reasons ‘Stranger Things’ is Great

If you read my July wrap up, you know that I’ve been obsessed with Netflix’s new series, “Stranger Things.” I’m not alone; you can’t go online without another entertainment site talking about the Duffer Brothers’ creepy love letter to the 1980s.

I can’t remember the last time I raced through a show so quickly; maybe “Breaking Bad.” My wife and I finished the show in a three-episode marathon Sunday night, and my first impulse was to watch it again (I didn’t). It’s been a long time since I’ve seen a show so compulsively watchable, and I understand how everyone is getting so wrapped up into the world of Eleven, Hawkins Lab and the Upside Down.

I don’t want to write a full review, since the show’s been out for a few weeks now. But I did want to highlight a few of the things that I thought elevated this beyond a standard nostalgia kick.
