Marybeth Davis Baggett lives in Lynchburg, Virginia, and teaches English at Liberty University. Having earned her Ph.D. in English from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Marybeth’s
professional interests include literary theory, contemporary American literature, science fiction, and dystopian literature. She finds the gospel message captivating and seeks to follow the example of Paul’s evangelism at Mars Hill in fulfilling her vocation. She is overwhelmed with God’s goodness and in her interactions with others seeks to arouse in them the same awareness. Marybeth finds inspiration and enjoyment in her relationship with her philosopher husband, David. Together, they parent their college-aged son, discuss literature and ideas, and encourage and challenge one another.
