7 Great Bible Verses To Share on Facebook

Have you posted something on Facebook that brings comments from others that you weren’t expecting? I used to use Facebook to stay connected with college friends, but then it expanded out to high school classmates, teachers, parents, grandparents and even people I used to babysit. With millions of users, it’s a wonderful channel to spread positive messages, encouragement and hope to the people you are connected with. Are you friends with everyone you have ever known or just your relatives? People use Facebook in different ways and for varying reasons, but everyone can use a Godly reminder each day.

7. Share Where Help Truly Comes From

Psalm 121: 1-2 “I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth.”

Did a friend post something about their desperate situation? Post this verse onto their wall with a personal note of encouragement to remind them that God can help.

6. Be Encouraging

Psalm 119:50 “This is my comfort in my affliction, that your promise gives me life.”

Everyone endures some sort of affliction. Family issues arise, unexpected financial burdens come up and the fear of uncertainty creeps in. Share about how God is your comfort.

While some of your friends seem to have found their calling in life, some may be waiting for their next big break. Whether it’s from a job loss, mid-life crisis or something unexpected, patiently waiting for God to reveal His plan for your life can be grueling. Share this encouraging reminder.

3. Share God’s Image of His Creation

Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing.”

God cherishes you and every person on your friend’s list. You can change the tone of someone’s day by reminding them that God will rejoice over them with gladness. Share this reminder with your friends.

Proverbs 16:7 “When a man’s ways please the Lord, he makes even His enemies to be at peace with him.”

Is there someone on your friend’s list who seems to always be in conflict with others? They may not necessarily be trying to initiate problems and maybe they are right, but others just try to find fault with them. Share this verse to remind your friends that He will deal with all their enemies as long as they pursue God’s will.
