Rumors of My Death Are Greatly Exaggerated

Well, howdy!

Been a while. And frankly, it’s not you, it’s me.

So happens the last seven or eight months have been a bit fraught. There were big changes at work, and new challenges, which meant I didn’t have much attention to spare; and what attention I had to spare had to go to my family, my Lay Dominican chapter, and the RCIA group at my parish. And for a good bit of that time, up until a couple of weeks ago, I was on some medication that had the cumulative effect of making me tired and dopey. First I dropped from five posts a week to a couple of posts a week; and then just to one a week; and in the last two months just one single post.

Starting about two months ago I found I had barely enough energy to meet essential obligations, and so that’s what I did. But I’m off the medication, and I’ve mostly climbed the new learning curves at work, and slowly my energy levels are increasing and I’m beginning to have a little more excess capacity. I have hopes that you’ll be seeing more from me over the next few weeks.
