The “New Hampshire Union Leader” breaks with a century of tradition September 16, 2016

The Union Leader is disproportionately influential because of its importance for the first-in-the-nation New Hampshire primary, and its voice has historically carried a lot of weight.  So, when the newspaper’s 100-year-long streak of endorsing Republican presidential candidates came to an end yesterday, it was a relatively big deal:

By my count, that’s at least three newspapers (including one in North Carolina and one in Virginia) that have gone for Johnson/Weld over Mr. Donald J. Trump and Clinton Inc.  I can scarcely blame them.
