Audio Roundtable: Come, Follow Me Doctrine and Covenants Lesson 16 “If Ye Are Not One Ye Are Not Mine” D&C 37-40

The Interpreter Radio Roundtable for Come, Follow Me Doctrine and Covenants Lesson 16, “If Ye Are Not One Ye Are Not Mine,” on D&C 37-40, was extracted from the 7 March 2021 broadcast of the Interpreter Radio Show. The discussants for this roundtable (and, for that matter, for the entire show) were Neal Rappleye, Jasmine Rappleye, Hales Swift, and Spencer Marsh.  The complete show may be accessed at https://interpreterfoundation.org/interpreter-radio-show-march-7-2021/. The Interpreter Radio Show can be heard live each Sunday evening from 7 to 9 PM (MDT), on K-TALK, AM 1640, or you can listen live on the Internet at ktalkmedia.com.

As he regularly does, Jonn Claybaugh has kindly provided notes for posting on the website of the Interpreter Foundation:

Come, Follow Me — D&C Study and Teaching Helps: Lesson 16, April 12–18: D&C 37–40 — “If Ye Are Not One Ye Are Not Mine”

And, in this Latter-day Saint Perspectives Podcast, available on the website of the Interpreter Foundation, Laura Harris Hales interviews R. Eric Smith and Matthew C. Godfrey about Know Brother Joseph: New Perspectives on Joseph Smith’s Life and Character, the new book that they coedited with Matthew J. Grow:

“Learning of Joseph Smith Anew”

Some of you, I think, will enjoy reading this portrait of a Latter-day Saint who has made a rather unusual choice of careers:

“Take the plunge: Renowned photographer Chris Burkard on risk, sacrifice and a career equal parts lucrative and fulfilling”

On a less happy but still sadly necessary note, here is a link to a recent post on the important Neville-Neville Land blog:

“Elder Gerrit W. Gong: “Father Lehi’s faithful descendants” live “in Latin America””

And here’s an older but still significant blog entry at the same site:

“The bizarre worldview of Jonathan Neville”

Perhaps also on a less happy but necessary note, here’s a piece from Jana Riess.  I’m reasonably confident that Sister Riess and I disagree on most current political issues; she is definitely coming from pretty far to my left.  But I thought that some out there might care to read this article, which responds to the address given by President Dallin H. Oaks during the Sunday afternoon session of the just-concluded General Conference of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints:

“Mormon leader blasts some right-wing US extremists, but will they know he’s talking to them? Latter-day Saint apostle Dallin Oaks just sounded the alarm about the recent actions of some Trump supporters in the United States. But the talk did not let liberals off the hook, either.”
