Do you sense everything is slipping away. Our culture. Our faith. Our freedom. Our sanity? I'm calling for a national day of song. We cannot reverse the course of a world heading straight for hell's gates. But then I hear stories like this, and I want to gather one friend, and then another and sing. Our hope is not in politics, or pop culture, or our economy. One by one this will fail. They will fall. Read more

The excuse you are looking for will be hinted at by your closest friends. A spouse or a confidant will raise an eyebrow or ask a question that doesn’t mean to hurt, but it still burrows in, looking to infect your confidence. That one person that you thought believed in you might be the source of your deepest fear. The excuse swirls in the wind, just when you are speaking to the sky, looking to God for help. You want excuses? You can find them. But if you want to change the world, you'll need to start saying yes.  Read more

I love to listen to the Freakonomics podcast as Steven Duber uses compelling economics to help shed a light on many topics. His July 19th episode featured a fascinating interview with Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg. As you might know, Facebook is under a great deal of scrutiny. Conservatives have felt that the algorithms have increasingly silenced their voices, even forcing Congressional hearings about the matter. And recently, the company is starting to crack down on “Fake News.” The problem? Who... Read more

It’s not always easy. It's not always pretty. But I’ll choose freedom any day. It’s something that God has put in the heart of every man and woman and we all yearn for it. That's what we all are fighting for. Read more

Did you every have shag carpeting, paneled walls, and floral wallpaper? Those were hot fashion trends then. So what makes us think that our trends in fashion and decorating will last into the next century, let alone the next decade. And while we are at it, what about our "fashionable" thinking and progressive ideas? Read more

There’s plenty of rancor in America today. Left vs. right. Extremes vs.  moderates. So treacherous are the positions and the language, some have predicted a coming Civil War – not between states, but between dogmas. This war won’t be about race or economics or states’ rights. It will be about ideology and power. And it seems that there is no innocent side in this. Conservatives, liberals and socialists all have the hair on the back of their neck up, ready to fight. Thank goodness some have realized the downward spiral and are calling for a stop. Read more

Hear this please. Smoking pot won’t send you to hell. But you are missing out on so much more. Jesus said this, “The thief comes to steal, and kill and destroy. But I have come that you may have life have it abundantly.” So there’s the choice. And with great love, it’s offered freely to you. Read more
