Over the weekend, I posted this video by Donald Trump, saluting Mother Teresa. I noted that the only thing more surprising would be a video by the Clinton campaign on the saint.
Well, she didn’t produce a video, but Hillary Clinton did have some warm words for Mother Teresa over the holiday weekend. It appears she spoke about her at a Labor Day picnic in Illinois Monday.
A reader wrote in to note:
Dear Deacon Kendra [sic],
I saw your writing regarding Trump’s comments on Mother Teresa. Unfortunately your article is a bit misleading. In this age of rampant disinformation all of us must be careful what we write, what we post and share so that we, too, do not inadvertently provide more fodder and distortion.
Please be aware that Hillary Clinton and Mother Teresa had a long term personal relationship. This led to the founding of the Mother Teresa Home for Infant Children. This has since closed.
You can research this. And Hillary did acknowledge Mother Teresa’s canonization and impact.
