You may remember this story from a few days ago. The little boy finally got his moment with the pope on Wednesday.
An 11-year old boy from Rensselaer County experienced the thrill of a lifetime on Wednesday.
Landon LaChance, who lives in Troy, was blessed by Pope Francis at the Vatican, fulfilling Landon’s Make-A-Wish request.
Landon suffers from a rare genetic disorder.
Last month Landon’s parish priest at Sacred Heart Church in Troy surprised him, by announcing his Make-A-Wish had been granted
Landon, his parents, and his three siblings are spending two weeks in Italy.
Newschannel 13 spoke with Landon’s mother, Mary, about the highlight of their trip.
“We looked up how to address him and everything and we all had our words prepared. When he stood in front of us, when I tell you like, there are no words that can come out of my mouth, Landon or me either. We just couldn’t say anything. It was like seeing the son Jesus himself. It was so, it was unreal,” she exclaimed.
