This clip of Bryan Fischer’s radio show provides a perfect opportunity to play “spot the logical fallacy.” He argues that it’s “ridiculous” to think that mocking, intimidating and hating gay kids leads them to commit suicide because Christians get made fun of too and they don’t kill themselves.

From the “you can’t make this shit up” department:

Constitutional principles seem to be mere inconveniences to Mr. Obama, however.

John Yoo said that. John fucking Yoo.

David Limbaugh, a sort of reverse Mycroft Holmes as Rush’s dumber brother, takes the “he ain’t hateful, he’s my brother” approach in a column that shows just how delusional that whole family must be. This line made me laugh out loud:

Andrew Sullivan likes to refer to stories like this as coming “from the annals of chutzpah.” And boy, does this qualify as chutzpah. Don Imus — Don Freaking Imus — is calling Rush Limbaugh an insincere pig for his attack on Sandra Fluke:

The Bryan Fischer award is given to those who displays weapons-grade projection, accusing their opponents of their own most flagrant and obvious flaws. Here’s Rush Limbaugh from November, 2010, complaining about “feminazis” calling him sexist.

The Bryan Fischer Award is given to those who display weapons-grade projection, accusing others of their own worst traits and behavior. And you’re gonna love this one. The John Birch Society is calling another group of right wing crazies paranoid and whacky.

The Bryan Fischer Award is given to those who exhibit psychological projection on a mind-blowing scale. Gail Gitcho, a spokesman for Mitt Romney, gives us a spectacular example of this in an email sent to reporters in Michigan:

One of the more amusing things about the dustup over the Komen foundation’s funding of Planned Parenthood is watching the “pro-life” folks — you know, the ones who think more women should die from breast cancer in order to thumb their noses at PP — decry that terrible pressure from their opponents that made Komen changed its position. Here’s Charmaine Yoest of Americans United for Life giving the anti-abortion crowd credit for pressuring Komen to pull the funding:

The Bryan Fischer award is given to those who engage in weapons-grade projection, accusing their opponents of having their own worst traits. Unhinged lunatic Frank Gaffney provides a sterling example of this when he accuses those who object to Jerry Boykin speaking at West Point of trying to destroy his freedom of speech and freedom of religion;

The Bryan Fischer award is given to those who engage in weapons-grade projection and accuse others of their own worst traits. Former RNC chairman Michael Steele is now criticizing current RNC chairman Rance Priebus for comparing Obama to the Italian ship captain who abandoned ship:

The Bryan Fischer award is given to those who displays weapons-grade projection in accusing their opponents of their own worst traits. Newt Gingrich is the walking embodiment of that concept, a man who, with a completely straight face, slams his opponents for negative campaigning when he, more than anyone else, taught conservatives how to do it. It was GOPAC, his group, that put out a 1996 memo telling followers how to portray their opponents in the most negative light possible using specific codewords.

The Bryan Fischer Award is given to those who project their most blatant negative attributes onto those they claim to be against. Here’s a great example of that behavior by Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell, just before Obama’s State of the Union speech:
