Muslim Leaders' open letter to Blair and Moderate-Extremist Islamic Jehadi Combine!

Presumably Muslims leaders including 3 MPs have sent an open letter to the UK PM. The letter is so downright condoning of Pan-Islamic feelings that it somehow brings out into the open the inherent reasons for the strife in the world!! That someone can be “understood” to have more feeling for a fellow religionist in some “other” country and one may be expected to empathize with him/her is he/she chooses to bomb own neighbors and countrymen, is simply pathetic!! Empathize so much that the head of the country should indeed change the foreign policy!!

I am not a lover of the Iraq policy or war for I think it was a great folly! But now the situation is really out of hand. To use that as an excuse to say that “hey you this poor Muslim kid in high school feels so disturbed that he is willing to bomb out hundreds in mid-air”… and so please change your policy in the far off Iraq is nothing short of BLACKMAIL!! That 17 year old kid (and others like him) is a bloody psychopath!! He needs to be either treated or jailed so he cannot implement his sick plans ever!!

The letter says: “As British Muslims we urge you to do more to fight against all those who target civilians with violence, whenever and wherever that happens. It is our view that current British government policy risks putting civilians at increased risk both in the UK and abroad.

“To combat terror the government has focused extensively on domestic legislation. While some of this will have an impact, the government must not ignore the role of its foreign policy.

“The debacle of Iraq and the failure to do more to secure an immediate end to the attacks on civilians in the Middle East not only increases the risk to ordinary people in that region, it is also ammunition to extremists who threaten us all.

“Attacking civilians is never justified. This message is a global one. We urge the prime minister to redouble his efforts to tackle terror and extremism and change our foreign policy to show the world that we value the lives of civilians wherever they live and whatever their religion. Such a move would make us all safer.”

And this “tolerance-oriented” voices actually obfuscate the entire scenario! That is why I am getting more and more convinced that the War of Civilizations between the West and Islam is being fought by the Islamists at TWO levels:

1. Extremists: Who go out and do action – killing, raping, bombing that is.
2. Moderates: Who cleverly obfuscate the entire scenario!!

Yes, the Iraq war is needless. Yes, it is resulting in killings of thousands. But no one needs to kill more innocents elsewhere to protest against it!! If anything, these stupid MPs should have simply come down heavily on the kind of conservative and hate propoganda and voices that has been so prevalent in Britain for far too long!! THAT is the reason for these idiots to resort to killing innocents!

I had written an article on newsvine and got some comments from a Muslim “fundamentalist but not a radical” calling himself lycan. I implore you to read them. That will give you a good idea of how and where the seeds of intolerance are sown in Muslim societies and, in fact for the loss of a better word, celebrated!! This is an example of what he says:

For Me personally, I would like to live in a country that is run by Islamic Law which by the way, cannot happen unless I am in the majority of the people living in such country. If I am in the minority, I expect to be given minority rights and not be oppressed by the majority. Most muslims share my point of view, some don’t. Islam does not tell us to go to other countries, where we are minorities and try to change the laws to our liking, we are told explicitly to Get Along and try to guide people to Islam. We are also told that if we cant stand it living in the so called un-islamic place we should move out.

If I am a minority and I am being oppressed, I have two choices, I either accept it and hope that this goes away or I leave the place I live in for a better place. This is only normal. Some people choose to change the system from within like Dr. King, Some choose Conflict like Malcolm X.

You have to give it to him that he is honest and bold in his admissions. What he has said openly is a common malaise that “moderates” don’t want to admit!

Islam is a politico-religioius movement. In it Deeni (religiouos) and Duniyavi (worldly) has to be together. The Worldly has to be within the context and framed by the Religious, so it is recommended. That is precisely what lycan discusses in his comments.

Now, back to the letter, having written the letter the signatories come up with a classic obfuscating defense:

The signatories insisted they condemned those who planned the alleged attacks. Mr Khan told the Guardian that Mr Blair’s reluctance to criticise Israel over the Lebanon attacks meant the pool of people from which terrorists found their recruits was increasing.

World has seen far too much terrorism emanating from the Muslim terrorists and it is time that the moderates amongst the community stop insulting our intelligence!!
