Farce of life!

Yes I pretend!
When I am sad..
I still smile.
But I can’t stop smiling

when I am actually happy!
I might laugh when
I don’t like your joke!
But I cannot not laugh
when I really like it!
I say life is good
when it actually is bad.
But I can’t say life is bad
when it is absolutely good!
All that charade is nothing but
an effort to accept!
(or did I say escape?)
Never mind the farce of life!
