Logging what I saw on the web on the Theotokos on this Latin Feast of the Lady of Częstochowa

On a note that is more Byzantine, Sister Vassa just put up a beautiful reflection on her own Facebook entitled ‘She Calls Us to Unity.’ It’s not about the Theotokos of Częstochowa; it’s more of her consistently wise daily meditations on the liturgical themes of the day. It’s like that she’s dated this for tomorrow in fact because she’s in Vienna, so this is for the Old Calendar celebration of the Dormition on August 27. She presents a beautiful picture of the Apostles gathered in unity around the Theotokos as she falls asleep, using this image to exhort us to unity as we are united with her in the life of the Son of God.
