I’m so Salty!

I’m so Salty! March 24, 2009

I realize I’ve been loathing on and on about my nauseau & out of control preggo emotions.  I literally tell the baby everyday how happy I am that he or she is in there despite my bad attitude.  And so, it seemed fitting to apologize to you as well.  I’ll make it a effort to quit my yapping on & on.

Now, on to salt.  Love it on my fries.  Love it better on my body.

A few days ago I found a home-made salt scrub I’d made at one of my friends 50th birthday spa party (I’m totally stealing this idea for my 50th!)

Anyway, it was glorious.  My skin felt all smooth & silky, it smelled good & made me feel like a million bucks.  Today for school I even wore a big long obnoxious weave ponytail with a big red flower in it to celebrate the occasion! 😉

So, ladies, save yourself the $32 bucks & go make your own salt scrub.  Take a long hot bath & enjoy!

3 SIMPLE STEPS TO SMOOTH & SILKY 🙂
Pour a cup of sea or kosher salt in a container of some kind.  (I used a old jelly jar).   I use Morton’s kosher–the granules are large enough to have uber-sloughing powders, but not rocky enough to scrape my impossibly delicate dermis.
Step2
Squirt in about a half cup of the baby oil and swirl together. You might need a splash of water to give it a more malleable texture.  (At the party we added various flavors).
Step3

Take the whole concoction to the loo and have at it. If you want to feel less “pauper/skinflint” and more “home-spun/resourceful” you could add a little drip of vanilla extract or rosewater to enliven the olfactory experience of your scrub. When did I become such a freakin miser? I’m seeking therapy
