A weekend of Nesting & Family

A weekend of Nesting & Family

Another weekend, another project.  I have been in heavy nesting mode (and I think I like it).  Actually, I hope it never goes away!  I have accomplished so much with this endless desire to clean, organize, toss out & rethink our entire homes awful storage use.

Last weekend, a friend helped us go through & reorganize all of our kitchen cupboards.  The sweet thing even went through & cleaned every surface.  Yesterday, my glorious mother’n’law spent all day defrosting the freezer in our basement which we hadn’t done since… okay fine, we’d never done it… ever.  And then today, I took great delight in cleaning all of the stainless steel appliances, canisters, etc. on our kitchen counter & doing a complete revamp of our spice jars which were a big atrocious eye-sore & mess.

My favorite part of this past weekend was getting to spend a little extra time with my boo.  Dave & I stole away for a 2 hour date to Big Boys… where we split evenly a plate of fries & one of those Hot Fudge Sundae Cakes.  The funny thing is after we left we thought about how we could have each got our own plate of fries but we have been in  heavy money saving mode it didn’t occur to us at the time! 😉  Also, since we are both fry addicts I pushed for this lest I bite his head off for eating my portion. 🙂  Don’t mess with a pregnant woman’s french fries!

when I say evenly, I meant evenly!
when I say evenly, I meant evenly!

And then today, in yet another attempt to bring on labor we went a park by our house to go on the trails for a long walk.  It’s become a bit of Sunday tradition for us to grab a Little Ceasars Hot’N’Ready pizza take it to this park & then hike the trails together.  Ransom loves this time so much & it was really quite beautiful out today with all the leaves changing colors…  (you can see the whole album here.)

It was nice to just relax & run up hills (okay fine they ran up hills while I sat on my duff & took pictures) 🙂

I could get shots of these two all days… I love my boys.  Can’t believe I’m fortunate enough to have another boy as a part of our crew!  Today when I told Ransom this would probably be our last trip to this park just the 3 of us, he said, “well I don’t think babies are supposed to go to parks so _____ (insert name) can’t come.”

Once I told Ran I could carry him in the baby carrier he said, “well as long as he’s quiet so he doesn’t disturb our peace.” Hahaha… this is my husband’s doing.  Sometimes when were all hiking Dave will suggest that were all quiet so we can take things in and have a little peace.
