My boys are exactly 4 years apart –within three days– so they were the exact same age on their first Easter, respectively.
Easter is almost here & it’s the week leading up to Easter that holds a lot of significance for me and my fam…
..Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday, etc. Both the hubs & I grew up Baptist and now attend a Reformed Church. These practices and celebrations are all relatively new for us, but I love them.
Here’s some other ideas to make your Easter week meaningful…
- Read my friend, bestie & colleague, Jessica’s thoughts on Easter as it pertains to the injustices of chocolate harvesting.
- Buy the little ones in your life some decorative Easter Baskets.
- Or, if your a parent consider doing some of the 101 ideas for kids easter baskets, over on The Mom Creative blog.
- Our Church is tackling a Church-wide fast. We are going to decide as a family what we want to fast beginning this Sunday. R1 mentioned all of us giving up snacks all week. I looked at him like a crazy woman, mouth ajar. Is this my son or a robot clone? We’ll see how this goes.
- Last but not least, take a peek at more SERIOUSLY cute pics of my boys over the last 4 years of Easter Sundays.
Hope it’s a great week for you & your fam! What are your plans for the week with your kiddo’s? Any one else seen any great sites or blogs for thinking creatively about celebrating Easter?
