It’s award season…and that my blogging friends means one thing: Fashion, dahling, oh the fashion!
I just love fashion. I love artistic gowns and I love that celebrities go all out to show us one thing: what a beautiful gown looks like as it glides down a red carpet.
I no longer do “worst-dressed,” lists. It’s trite, it’s immature, it’s unhelpful gossip and frankly, it’s beneath me.
So, my red carpet assessments are only focusing on the beautiful gowns. If you want to dog any body out, go rant your negativity on someone else’s blog. (That is not to say, you cannot disagree with me).
For the sake of time, I decided to pick my top 10 gowns of the entire award season (including the SAG’s, Globes, Emmy’s & Oscars).
Nuff said, let’s get started…
As you’ll see I clearly favored the Globes this year. The Oscar fashion was honestly one big yawn this year.
Honorable Mentions…
Okay, now on to my TOP TEN fave looks of the award season 2010..
Look #10
I think I’m a big sucker for white or cream dresses. I’m the girl with 5 white tank-tops, 3 white button-ups, 4 white sweaters, 2 white jackets…. yada, yada, yada, I love it.
I absolutely love the detail work of this one shoulder knock-out. I love the cute & fun length & the playfulness of this look. Her super cute up-do & subtle make up make the dress pop.
My only suggestion is different shoes. I would have went with super sexy, strappy silver sandals. (say that 5x’s fast!) 🙂
Look #9
If you love Glee like I do, than you love Lea! She is so talented and beautiful. I love her Oscar De la Renta gown in all of it’s detailed fullness. I love that the bodice is shapely with a touch of white underpinnings. If it were me, I would have went with a dramatic necklace & skipped earrings.
Look #8
Though I loathe the flesh color of this gown, it does work with the sparkly shoulder hip thingy’s. Now I know this dress got bad reviews but I loved it. I love it’s youth, vibrance & boldness. I love that Drew kept her makeup soft, her hair pulled back & left the big accessories behind. I think the dress says, “Hello, I’m beautiful!” 🙂
Look #7

Okay, so I know this a basic black dress, but it’s a beautiful basic black dress. I especially love the up-to-there side slit, her basic hair & basic make-up. It’s very understated look that says, “I’m beautiful, so I can just be simple & understated.”
Look #6
Actually, I love the color on the left better. It’s such a beautiful dress but I hate the taupe/pink/nude looks of this award season. Gimme some color!
Look #5

Love the dress, don’t like the shoes at all. I just love me a beautiful white gown. Makes me think of happy wedding days…
Look #4

So beautiful. I would love to wear this dress! She is statuesque & stunning in this dress!
And now my top 3 looks are…
Look #3
I don’t care what anyone says, I LOVE this Marchesa gown & further more LOVE the whole Marchesa collection this year. If I had went to the Oscars this year I would have wore this… but in red. 😉
Look #2

Love Toni, love the dress, love it all.
Best look of the entire award season goes to…

This Giorgio Armani Prive’ black lace dress just blew me away. It fits like a glove, her hair is perfect, makeup is flawless. Just stunning! She looks beautiful.
What about you, what were your fave looks of this award season?
Yay for Fashion!
