Taxes and Gratitude

The tax man cometh, bringing with him/her an opportunity to practice gratitude (seriously!). Jim Burklo’s piece on The Blessings of Taxes took me by surprise and offered me a whole new way to think about tax day.

And here’s another excellent perspective on taxes from Diana Butler Bass, in which she says: “Indeed, tax day is a day that progressive people of faith should celebrate, as we participate in one of the greatest social reforms of the twentieth century: the progressive income tax.”
