#7: Evangelicals Who Have Lost Their Souls
Baptist Minister Chuck Queen — one of my favorite writers at one of my favorite group blogs, Unfundamentalist Christians — offered this reflection on the growing number of Evangelical leaders (and their followers) who are seemingly clamoring for political power at the expense of their souls in this election season:
How did evangelicals descend to such depths of delusion? I think at some point they bought into the idea that they could actually exercise power in the world and control, or at least effectively influence, legislation and policy that would allow them to push and impose their beliefs and morality on the rest of us.
