A new movie on climate change features a major segment about
the emerging voice of faith communities urging action on this issue.
Hi,
I'm Karen Coshof – the producer of The Great Warming. As you may know, this
is a film about climate change
narrated by by Keanu Reeves and Alanis Morissette.
"What," you ask,
"another climate change film?" Well, we believe that The Great Warming is
a true compliment to Mr. Gore's excellent film, because of its ultimate
positive message. The Great Warming is not negative or pessimistic.
Instead, it is visually beautiful and empowering – leaving audiences
with a positive message and a sense of hope. It also presents an array
of solutions to climate change. The film features a major segment about
the emerging voice of faith communities urging action on this issue,
and has been endorsed by a cross-section of faith-based groups who are
bringing it into churches and synagogues.
To make the film a true
catalyst for change, the producers have developed The Great Warming
Call to Action – a five week initiative that will run up to the launch
date and which is intended to reach as many Americans as possible. You
can make a difference – visit www.thegreatwarming.com and click on
"Join the Call to Action". And we encourage all of you to make a
statement by getting as many people to the film's opening as possible.
Together, we can send the signal that it is time we all come together
to act on climate change.
