Hopefully you've seen the Michael J. Fox ad for Claire McCaskill about stem cell research this week. Fox is a respected figure in America, not because he was on Family Ties, but because of his personal integrity and tireless advocacy for other people who are also victims of Parkinson's disease.
That Rush Limbaugh would accuse Fox of faking his symptoms or exploiting his own condition for partisan gain is not really a surprise. After all, Rush has made a living saying outrageous things. But watching this video of Rush as he made the statements shows the deeper story: this man has no compassion.
