An Open Letter to Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama

An Open Letter to Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama January 23, 2008

Hillary
and Barack, please stop the
bickering.  Stop the name calling.  I have seen this

movie before and it ended up being a horror show.

Poll
after poll has made it clear that the American people have seen enough of the
Bush White House and are crying out for change. A very large percentage of
Americans that I have spoken to — from all walks of life and from various races
— seem to feel that we have been Bush-whacked by Bush, cheated by Cheney and
run over by Rumsfeld.  We are engaged in
a war that was "an orchestrated campaign that effectively galvanized public
opinion and, in the process, led the nation to war under decidedly false
pretenses." This is according to a study from the Center for Public Integrity
which worked for the Fund for Independence in Journalism.  In fact, the study counted 935 false statements
in a two-year period which Bush and his administration as stating unequivocally
on at least 532 occasions that Iraq had or was seeking weapons of mass
destruction or had links to al-Qaida. Is that Bush-whacking at its best or what?
 The American people want change!

On
the home front, we are witnessing a fast fueled foreclosure fiasco. Inside this
same cruel cauldron of crisis are inexcusably high gas prices and daily
reminders that a rude recession is staring us in the face.  Is this Bush-whacking at its best? The
American people want change!

America's image in the world
has been wrecked and ruined from Africa to the Antilles.  From Scandinavia to South America we are scorned.  From Europe to the Equator we have
made new enemies. The American people want change!

Change
is only ten months away. The Democratic Party best represents the change that America is crying out for and
craving.  America no longer wants to be
divided into red states and blue states.  Enough of this political party civil war! We
want to return to being the United States.  The Democratic Party has the vision to return
us to being the United States again.  The American people want change!

We
have two bright and brilliant Senators who can bring America the change that we need
and are calling for.  Senator Hillary
Clinton and Senator Barack Obama represent hope, help, and healing.  The Republican Party, meanwhile, is in
disarray.  Fred Thompson has folded his tent
and gone back to Hollywood.  Rudy Guliani's train has almost run out of
coal.  Mike Huckabee is not Hercules.  Mitt Romney zig-zags all over the place.  John McCain got called out by Chuck Norris.  The American people want change!

Both
Senators Clinton and Obama can hit the ground running on November 5, 2008!  However, something strange is happening on the
way to the Inauguration.  Clinton and
Obama are fighting like two fifth graders.  They are doing opposition research, direct
mail, and television and radio commercials that will ultimately benefit whoever
the weak and wounded Republican nominee will be.  Even though our party represents change, we
can derail our chances.  I have seen this
movie before and it ended up being a horror show.  In 2006, two of Georgia's most beloved and respected
politicians, Lieutenant Governor Mark Taylor and Secretary of State Kathy Cox
DESTROYED each other in the Democratic primary. The collateral damage further
sunk the Georgia Democratic Party into an almost irretrievable abyss.  Cox refused to endorse our party's nominee,
Taylor — a politically unconscionable and almost unforgivable act.  As a result, Republican Governor Sonny Perdue
was reelected in a landslide.

Hillary
and Barack, please stop it!  Stop the
bickering.  Stop the name calling.  Stop the distortions.  Stop flying sorties over the American people.  Both of you have skeletons in your closet.
Everyone who has ever walked this earth with the exception of Jesus Christ has
had skeletons in their closets.  Some of
us have just enough bones to build a miniature pinscher and some of have enough
to build a T-Rex dinosaur.  The American
people are aware of that and will forgive you.  However, they are tired of the tear your
opponent down politics. The American people want change!

Yours
to Serve,

Pastor
Kenneth Walker

P.
S. Please put the race and gender cards back in your pockets.  Hillary, you were born a woman and you cannot
change that fact. Obama, you were born black and you cannot change that fact.
Bill, we still love you in the black community.  Heck, we will always love you and as I said to
you in the White House in 2000, if we could change the 22nd
Amendment and let you run again, you would be elected in a landslide. I know
that you love your wife but man you gotta get off of Obama's back!  He should not have to run against Hillary and
the first black President!
