John Knows the Dream

Ohio’s 16^th District is one place we hope to see change in America this November, as U.S. House hopeful John Boccieri campaigns for improving the lives of the middle class and re-establishing the American Dream.  John faces Republican Kirk Schuring for a seat held for the last 36 years by the retiring Republican incumbent, Ralph Regula.

John has committed his life to living his Christian faith through public service. After graduating from college, John began to serve his country in the U.S. Air Force; he served in the military for 14 years, including four tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, and has represented eastern Stark County for eight years in the Ohio legislature as a State Representative and State Senator.

As a boy, John was told, “to whom much is given, much is expected.” The grandson of coal-miners, steelworkers, and carpenters, he has taken these words to heart and has devoted his life to service and defense of all of the American way of life.  John is committed to uniting the people of Ohio’s 16th District to focus on the issues that truly matter.

Faithful Democrats endorses John Boccieri because he cares about the promise of America. John believes “that if you work hard, play by the rules and give back to your community you can realize the American Dream.” John Boccieri recognizes that our nation is in such a dark place that this dream is hardly a reality to most Americans – that’s why he is committed to bringing change where it matters most.

An Ohio voter notes that John “offers something different from his opponent.”
