When asked what inspired me, I said, "well, I believe, God inspired me to make this quilt," and then went on to tell why I believed that. Last Monday morning, we accompanied our friend Jose to Immigration Court here in Dallas, Texas. Fortunately, the judge granted a continuance for his deportation case to November 5, 2007. As we left the Federal Courthouse, Jose's attorney told us, "We've got to get the Dream Act passed. It is Jose's most realistic chance to avoid deportation." (more…) Read more
