Bob Marley’s Granddaughter Is Making a Documentary About Rasta November 7, 2011

Bob Marley‘s granddaughter Donisha Prendergrast recently went to Toronto, where she’s filming a documentary about Rasta. In the video, she sports a purple T-shirted printed with “Stolen from Africa,” a reference to Bob’s song “Buffalo Soldier.” “We’re finding our way to get back to Africa,” she says.

Later in the video – which isn’t a trailer, more of an explanation of Rasta and what she is hoping to accomplish from making her movie – Donisha talks about her famous grandfather and the rest of her family’s connection to Rasta and how she hopes to chronicle her experiences writing and traveling. You can learn more about Donisha and her projects on her website.
