Rapper and proud Heeb Drake was spotted filming at a Miami synagogue this week. The Canadian musician was at Temple Israel along with Lil’ Wayne and DJ Khaled – the three of them are filming Drake’s new video, which reportedly recreates Drake’s bar mitzvah. I wonder what his parsha was! Update: Here’s a sneak peek at the video. Drake tweeted this picture yesterday: (more…) Read more

Although she isn’t a singer or actor, Casey Anthony (aka Tot Mom) is definitely a celebrity. The Florida woman garnered headlines around the world when she was tried (and eventually exonerated) on charges that she killed her toddler daughter, Caylee. Joan Rivers‘ former manager Billy Sammeth is shopping a tell-all, and he sat down for a super bitchy interview with The Daily Beast. Among the juicy tidbits he shared about Joan and her daughter Melissa Rivers was this one: I once took Joan and Melissa to the Palm Court at the Plaza when Melissa was around 7 or 8 years old. Going to the Palm Court became like a ritual to Joan back then. Two old Jews came up to... Read more

It’s pretty common for celebrities to meet their spouses in acting class, but actress and onetime Miss USA Ali Landry (who will always be the Doritos Girl to me) met her husband in a theology class. She told People magazine that after her disastrous marriage to Mario Lopez, which was annulled because he cheated during their honeymoon, she had a crisis of faith and began learning more about Catholicism, the religion she had been raised with. Katy Perry‘s parents are going to be so pissed: despite their efforts to matchmake for their daughter and the Christ-loving football player, Tim Tebow was recently spotted having dinner with Taylor Swift. Although people assumed that meant they were dating, Us Weekly insists that Taylor is crushing on Tim but that right now they’re just friends who bond by talking about Jesus. As you do. “They actually have been speaking a lot about the Bible and Christianity . . .Right... Read more

What if the Buddha had actually been a secret jerk? That was the premise in a sketch last night on SNL, where Andy Samberg played a version of the Enlightened One who made fun of his followers and ogled their boobs and said things like “I think my little Buddha just reached full consciousness.” Oh, and evening host Lindsay Lohan was in there somewhere too. Read more

On last week’s episode of Happy Endings, Max (played by Adam Pally) had a shirtless scene. Since the show features a healthy amount of sex, that wasn’t unusual. But what was unusual was the discovery that Max and his portrayer have a chest tattoo. A Hebrew tattoo that reads “Asher.” In an interview with Craig Ferguson, Pally talked about the tattoo and said that Asher is his Hebrew name. Since tattoos are outlawed in Judaism, the ink is extra funny.... Read more
