The Berean Study Bible

The Berean Study Bible February 2, 2022

Recently, the publisher graciously sent me a copy of The Berean Study Bible for review.

The version I received has the soft leather-like cover (which is what the link above will bring you to).

I really like the look and feel of this Bible.

The translation is pretty accurate as well. It’s a fresh rendering.

This isn’t the kind of study Bible that has commentator notes. Instead, the notes give insight into manuscript differences and divergent renderings.

The Bible is easy to read in that it’s separated by headings. The paragraph format is helpful in that it makes each section digestible.

Here’s a photo of the clean layout.

Here’s a description from the publisher:

The Berean Study Bible (BSB) is a completely new English translation of the Holy Bible based on the best available manuscripts and sources. Each word is connected back to Greek or Hebrew to produce a transparent text that can be studied for its root meanings.

With the Berean Study Bible, the text is the result of a careful translation and styling process to maintain core meanings and produce an English text of high literary quality, effective for public reading, study, memorization, and evangelism.

Features:

  • Double-column text
  • Footnotes
  • 10.5 point type
