Traumergy, An Interview With Author Patrick Carberry

Traumergy, An Interview With Author Patrick Carberry September 15, 2024

Patrick Carberry has written a new book called Traumergy.

I caught up with Patrick recently to ask him about his book.

Enjoy!

When someone hears about a book and they ask, “What is your book about?” what they are really asking is, “What’s in it for me?” In other words, what will I get out of reading your book? What is the pay off for my time and energy and the cost of the book? What’s in it for me? Please answer that for readers. What’s in it for them?

Science fiction and mysteries are mostly stories with the intent of searching for truth, with a curious mind. How many things did science fiction and mystery writers write about from the past, which have come true in the present, or are likely to come true in the future?

What is the universe made of? Are we alone? How did humans get here? More importantly, why am I here, and what is God’s plan for me?

From a mystery perspective, let’s take Sherlock Holmes, in solving mysteries to bring bad actors to justice he also helped the innocent victims. He was searching for the truth.

Stories using science fiction and mysteries as plot vehicles are entertainment, and at the same time, they also transmit seeds of knowledge and at times faith, based on truth. In Traumergy, I use science fiction and mystery as a story plot to attract everyone’s interest, but the real mystery is the formation of the Image on Shroud of Turin and what’s behind it.

Of course, I have an underlying faith message, which is more important, that is believing that Jesus was crucified, died, and rose from the dead for the sins of all mankind. The shroud which Jesus was wrapped in is believed to be the burial cloth of Jesus. It is 14 feet 3 inches in length and 3 feet 7 inches in width, this single piece of cloth features detailed front and back images of a man who appears to have been crucified based on Roman justice system in the early 1st century.

The Shroud resides in the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist in Turin, Italy. That is why it’s called the Shroud of Turin. Researchers and Medical doctors have concluded that the shroud certainly depicts that of a man crucified. As a Christian, I believe the Shroud is the burial cloth of Jesus, which shows the pain and suffering, Jesus, the Son of God went through voluntarily, just so we could be forgiven.

The Shroud depicts this based on the evidence on the burial cloth itself. Should we have faith that the Shroud of Turin is the true burial cloth? That’s up to you. I choose to believe it.” I guess a question, I want the readers to come away with is “What does the image on the Shroud of Turin mean to you?” And, if you believe it’s the burial cloth of Jesus then, I hope you have an answer for the question Jesus asked his disciples, “Who Do You Say I am?”

Why did you write this book and what qualifies you to have penned it?

As a prior FBI intelligence analyst, entrepreneur, US Army veteran with experience in imaging and Computer Aided Design, I was raised Catholic but became a non-denomination Christian as a teenager.

I have always been curious about the Shroud. I believed that God wants us to know the truth about its origin. And, I believe he wants us to search for the truth in it. What God has revealed to us about Jesus, salvation, and Gods plan for man, comes from the scriptures. However, there is more to the world we live in and mysteries in the universe that we don’t understand, that eh scriptures do not reveal. One of the traits of a good intelligence analyst is curiosity.  The curiosity I had, combined with my CAD experience, helped me research and write the book Traumergy.

What is Traumergy exactly and why should people be interested in it?

Good question. Well, to start with, I was pondering the wonders of Gods universe and how much science does not know or understand about the universe and the makeup of the neutrinos. I was also reading books on the Shroud of Turin and focusing on the mystery of what formed the image on the Shroud. So, my thought was how was the image formed by some yet unknown scientific explanation about Neutrinos in the universe, that will get others to wonder and read about.

There are many ideas of how the image was formed.

Researching different forms of energy led me to research NEUTRINOS. They are subatomic particles, similar to electrons. Sometimes, called ghost particles, because they are hard for scientist to detect. Neutrinos which travel through matter, undergo a process similar to light traveling through a transparent material. Experiments by scientists have revealed that when neutrinos travel through matter that only a small fraction of the neutrino’s energy is transferred to the material. So, based on this I thought, can neutrinos transfer energy to a fabric during one of the most traumatic events in history? The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.

Give us two or three “aha!” moments that came to you when you were doing the research for the book, things that really impressed you that you didn’t know before.

Shroud is a precise photographic negative (on non-photographically sensitive cloth).

Billions of Neutrinos pass through our bodies every second. We do not know what or if, they have any effect on us. We of course, assume they do not. But we still do not really understand Neutrinos.

A Scientist gave an example that if you hold your hand toward the sunlight for one second, about a billion neutrinos from the sun will pass through it. It’s the same process as a byproduct from the Suns nuclear fusion that produces sunlight.

According to an Ice Cube Neutrino Observatory Scientist when the neutrinos interact with atoms inside the deep arctic ice detectors, they sometimes give off puffs of energy manifest in light. So, one of the theory’s is that when neutrinos pass through and interact with atoms, they produce charged particles, and the charged particles give off light. Prof. Peter Morley’s, theory is that these tiny subatomic particles called Neutrinos contributed to the creation of the image on the Shroud with light but no heat. Note: The Ice Cube Neutrino Observatory is a neutrino observatory developed by the University of Wisconsin–Madison and constructed at the Amundsen–Scott South Pole Station in Antarctica.

Peters’ theory is that when Jesus Christ rose from the dead, his resurrection, a great amount of energy was produced (milliseconds) twinkling of an eye”. Neutrinos had nothing to do with the resurrection. God raised him from the dead to life with a new transformed body. At the same moment Neutrinos were passing through the Shroud and created the image on the Shroud.

Five puzzling enigmas regarding the image on the Shroud (please note this list of enigmas is not exhaustive, but provides a sample):

  1. The image is only on the uppermost surface of the fibers; thus, it could not have been formed by chemicals.
  2. The image shows the whole body, however not all areas of the cloth came into contact with the whole body. So, how did it get there?
  3. The image was not produced by vapors from chemicals or vapors from the corpse itself based on chemical analysis.
  4. There is a double image on both the front of the cloth and on the back, but no image in the middle of the cloth, implying that the cloth collapsed into a mechanically transparent body.
  5. You can see inside the body, like an x-ray.
  6. 372 Blood stains on front and back
  7. The Shroud itself did not touch all parts of the body, yet there is an image of all the parts of body including 3D topography images. So, can also see bones.
  8. The shroud is the most studied artifact in the world.

The formation of the Shroud’s image would take 6-8 billion watts of light radiation, which exceeds the maximum output of any source or all of UV radiation technologies combined in the world, known today. If the accompanying heat energy had been present, the cloth would have vaporized in less than 1/40 billionth of a second. The startling discovery of an image on both the front and back of the cloth implies that the cloth collapsed into and through the body. As if the source of light surrounded the body. Remember, the image is only on the surface of the Shroud and was not burned. So, some form of energy created the image, we still do not know what or how. The most plausible explanation is through some type of UV radiation, which we do not understand or have the capacity to produce. Fr. Spitzer and the https://napa-institute.org/about/

Tell us some of the stories contained in the book that readers will find captivating.

  1. When Prof. Peter Morley first describes his theory on the creation of trauma memories. It is when we have a traumatic experiences and neutrinos interact with those experiences.
  1. When Prof. Peter Morley and his assistant Keith, see a Traumatic Event in the past for the first time, using Traumergy and it’s the murder of Keiths girlfriend, who everyone thought was an accident.
  1. When Traumergy first recorded trauma memories from 33AD and it was demonstrated to his students for the first time.

Have you gotten any push book so far from critics? If so, what where their criticisms and what is your reply to them?

Not push back per say, but some reviewers do not always like books that combine or interweave stories that are both faith and science based. I believe that science is trying to ‘catch up’ to Gods truth. And, when science confirms one’s faith it makes some people uncomfortable.

What else would you like to tell our audience about your book?

When Jesus rose from the dead, he confirmed his identity as the Son of God and his work of atonement, redemption, reconciliation, and salvation. The resurrection was a real, literal, physical raising of Jesus’ body from the dead. It shows that God has the power to raise us from the dead. It guarantees that the bodies of those who believe in Christ will not remain dead but will be resurrected unto eternal life.

TRAUMERGY, is a trilogy.

Of course, Traumergy (Book 1) is focused on the discovery of Traumergy and the primary truth it finds in the resurrection of Christ.

Traumergy (Book 2), is centered around threats based on the discovery of Traumergy. Knowing the truth of the resurrection of Christ, Professor Peter Morley must now reexamine what is the significance of Jesus’ resurrection and fight against criminal powers who do not want the truth to be revealed? The story continues to interweave the discovery of Traumergy with Peter Morley’s morals and beliefs in the face of conflict and danger.

Traumergy (Book 3) Peter Morley is faced with Servathon founders, joining with or using other negative forces, (e.g., from a secular world, atheism, and religious worldly powers) for revenge. He must use his discovery and his unique skills against the threats and defeat them, with Gods help, the bad guys. Some of the bad guys come to know and accept the truth, convert to Christianity and join forces with Peter Morley.
