Mike Huckabee’s Desperate Twitter Game Last Night

For most Republicans, the real action during the painfully boring Democrat debate was on Twitter.  Donald Trump famously live-tweeted the whole thing, but some may have missed Mike Huckabee’s grating and desperate attempt to insert himself into the national conversation.

He started out by appealing to Trump himself (probably hoping for a much-needed retweet).

@RealDonaldTrump – Any last-minute hairstyle advice for @BernieSanders before he takes the stage @ #DemDebate?

It got weirder from there:

@BernieSander’s socialist math is as solid and sound as El Chapo’s prison security

and

Putin’s rolling the @BarackObama/@HillaryClinton foreign policy like Chinese tanks in Tiananmen Square.

Salon points out that Huckabee somehow managed to retweet himself.

But the worst moment?

I trust @BernieSanders with my tax dollars like I trust a North Korean chef with my labrador!

Sigh.

Salon, no fan of Donald Trump, points out that “at least [Huckabee’s] proven there’s something even worse than being Donald Trump. It’s being a Donald Trump wannabe.”
