Jennifer Lawrence: Planned Parenthood Does More than Kill Babies, So Relax

Actress Jennifer Lawrence made headlines recently, but not for her award-winning acting skills.

In an interview with Glamour Magazine, Lawrence said of Planned Parenthood:

[…] Planned Parenthood is so much more [than abortion]. My mom was really religious with me when I was young. She’s not so much anymore. And I wouldn’t have been able to get birth control if it weren’t for [Planned Parenthood]. I wouldn’t have been able to get condoms and birth control and all these things I needed as a normal teenager who was growing up in a Jesus house.

But seriously. What harm comes from supplying people with birth control, condoms, Pap smears, and cancer screenings?

Got it?  Since Planned Parenthood does a few good things, we should totally forget about the millions of unborn babies they have killed.  No big deal.  Right?

Lawrence, like many in Hollywood and the media, has bought into the lies of Planned Parenthood when it claims it’s are so much more than abortion.  Yes, it provides some women’s health services, but those services are a small percentage of what it does in comparison to its abortive services.  In fact, by its own admission in its latest annual report, Planned Parenthood did 27% FEWER cancer screenings and prevention services this year than last year.  That means less cancer screenings, HPV vaccines, breast exams, etc. – hundreds of thousands less.

And what about that birth control that Jennifer talks about?  Planned Parenthood’s report shows that contraceptive services are down 18% this year, and are down nearly 20% since 2010.

But here’s the thing.

Even though no government money is supposed to go to abortions, Planned Parenthood’s report shows that they received over $25 million MORE in taxpayer dollars last year, meaning it cashed in on over $553.7 million in funding from the government last year alone!  Why would Planned Parenthood be receiving more funding, when it is providing fewer women’s health services?

But even if Planned Parenthood was doing what it claimed and provided tons of other women’s health services, it still continues to murder more unborn children than any other entity in the country.  Its own report shows that last year alone Planned Parenthood performed over 323,999 abortions.  That is 323,999 babies who were murdered in their own mother’s wombs.  Over the past three reported years, Planned Parenthood has killed over ONE MILLION children.

People who defend Planned Parenthood, whether it’s politicians or Hollywood stars, love to talk about the other non-abortion services done by Planned Parenthood. But that doesn’t answer our questions about the murdered babies! No one is MAKING Planned Parenthood murder babies. If they care so much about providing birth control and other health care without causing a big fuss about taking hundreds of millions in government money, then put down the suction tubes and forceps.
