4. Jeremy Lane
Seattle Seahawks cornerback Jeremy Lane was the first non-teammate of Kaepernick’s to join in the national anthem protest. He sat in protest before a game in Oakland — the same night Kap and Reid took a knee in San Diego.

After the game, Lane said, “I wasn’t trying to say anything. Just standing behind Kaepernick.” Since the night of his first protest, Lane promises to continue sitting out the national anthem until he believes justice is served.
