7 Quick Takes Friday

I have been watching the March for Life on EWTN. It is warmer and more comfortable to watch it from my living room than from the freezing ground in DC. But I am grateful that people are there, making the sacrifice of being cold and uncomfortable.

Of course, every other news media (except maybe FoxNews) is completely ignoring the March, as they do every single year. Way to be objective CNN.

I am currently filling out the application for the IU School of Social Work MSW program! I am excited and somewhat nervous. I’m not even actually sure that I *want* to go back to school, but I felt called to at least begin the process, so I am open to God leading me here if He wants me.

It’s pretty labor intensive. I have to write an 8 page personal narrative, and then a 3 page writing sample. I really want to get it right, so even though it’s only 11 pages, I am going to give it a lot of thought.

Please pray that I’ll have open eyes and ears, and follow God’s will when he makes it clear.

We got fresh ginger root in our farm delivery this week; I am looking for a recipe using it. We also have some bok choy, so I think I’ll try a culinary experiment and make my own stir-fry!
