Atticus’ sister and her boyfriend are coming to visit this weekend! She has a sorority event in town on Saturday evening, but we’ll get to spend some time with them this evening and tomorrow during the day. It should be a lot of fun!

Perhaps there will be apple picking? I’ll let you know!

We broke down and got a Sam’s Club membership. We didn’t do the most expensive membership, just the basic one. Since we’ve only done one shopping trip, it’s hard to know exactly how much we’ve saved, but it’s nice to know we won’t have to go out for groceries for another three weeks or so.

Some of the things I was very excited to find:

Organic milk — it’s about the same unit price as the grocery, but we can buy more at once, meaning we have to make fewer trips. We drink a lot of milk.

Wild-caught Alaska salmon — 6.99 per pound. heck yes!

Cereal — Atticus eats cereal pretty much every morning during the week, and since he’s a growing boy has the world’s fastest metabolism, it takes about three bowls to fill him up. We go through a lot of cereal. And it is basically dirt cheap at Sam’s Club.

ClifKid fruit ropes — I love these things! They are basically like fruit roll-ups, only there’s no sugar added, and they are made from organic fruit puree. The berry ones are my favorite. At the Kroger, we got 6 of them for $5.00. At Sam’s Club, we got 24 of them for $10.00. Score!

There are other things too, but these are supposed to be quick takes! Oops!

I have to share this: The newest trailer for Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part I, which comes out November 19th!

I know this probably makes me sound like the laziest living human, but sometimes I wish I had a vaccum cleaner for upstairs and another one for downstairs. It’s heavy and my belly is getting big.

Gosh, I hope Notre Dame pulls it together this weekend. The last two games were really pretty heartbreaking losses. I’m just glad the game we were at is the one they’ve won so far.

All the pregnancy manuals say that your fingernails grow fast when you’re pregnant, but what they don’t tell you is how brittle they might be too. My nails have been growing fast, but I’ve been breaking at least two a week. It’s so annoying. Does/Has anyone else had this problem?

Saturday night we are going to the home of the other facilitator couple for the marriage – prep team! I’m excited to meet them, and to spend time with them, and the couple who is organizing everything. We’ll also know by the end of the evening which chapters of the manual we will be responsible for presenting. Then we can get down to work figuring out what to say!
