I missed Quick Takes. Oops. I feel like I’ve got a ton of things on my mind, but I can’t seem to figure out what I’d like to say. However, I was compiling a mental list of some things I’m looking forward to enjoying when I’m no longer pregnant (aka 11 weeks from now).
These are in no particular order:
(1) Alcohol (in general) and Sangria and Margaritas in particular
Oh yeah — and of course, what celebration is complete without
Yes friends, champagne. Please don’t think I’m a drunk. I really hardly drink at all. But after going nine months without so much as a glass of wine, it will be nice to be able to enjoy some alcohol.
(2) Sushi. Do I even need to explain this one?
I am going to stuff myself silly with sushi.
(3) Skirts/dresses with waistlines. I know, I know. It’ll probably be a while post-partum before this happens, but it will!
So cute! And it has pockets. I love it.
This would be ideal for when we finally have a date night out, whenever that will be. Who knows, it might even fit by then?!
(4) Being able to walk briskly and carry on a conversation at the same time.
I was able to do this until about two weeks ago. Now when we’re taking our evening walk, I have to slow down to talk, or not talk.
(5) Goat cheese. Oh man, I love goat cheese. Turns out about 99% of it is unpasturized. I threw caution to the wind and ate some in Italy, but Italy was a l-o-n-g time ago. I miss the creamy, creamy goodness that is goat cheese.
I will eat it on pizza, I will eat it in salads, I will eat it with fruit.
And I will eat it with, of course
wine.
I promise, I’m not a drunk. And yes, my life revolves around food, drink, and dresses. Doesn’t everyone’s? 😉
If you’re pregnant now, what are you most looking forward to doing after your baby is born? If you’re not pregnant, what did you miss the most when you were?
