Lumen Christi

Lumen Christi

Friends, there’s a lot going on here this week, so I don’t have the time I’d like to devote to a post. We’re going out of town this weekend for Atticus’ birthday and Father’s Day. Lots of laundry, packing, and sneakily wrapping birthday/Father’s day presents.

I’m hoping to have Quick Takes up on Friday (if I’m a good girl and get all my chores done!)…but in the meanwhile I have to share this wonderful video that was recently made of the school that is next door to our parish, Lumen Christi.

They recently celebrated their 10 year anniversary as an independent Catholic elementary school. It’s most likely the school that Maggie (and any brothers or sisters…no, this isn’t an announcement) will attend. I wanted to share the video with you all because it’s such a special school, and with all the negative news about the Church, Catholic education, etc. I want to share something positive that is going on right here in my town, right next to my parish! In fact, all of the beautiful images in the video of the Church where the children attend Mass is the inside of our parish church. Yes, it’s as beautiful as it seems!

The kids go to Mass daily and all learn Latin starting in 1st grade! So cool. Just a happy little thought for your Wednesday afternoon.

Carry on. See ya Friday, I hope!
