in, say, solving our economic woes with massive bailouts; bringing peace by talking with our adversaries; and solving our nation’s other woes by application of liberal or center-left policies, would that disprove conservative ideology? If you are a conservative, would that make you change your positions? It has been said that for a belief to be meaningful and possibly true, it also has to be, theoretically at least, capable of being shown to be false. Is conservatism falsifiable? What would it take to prove you wrong?
