Open Thread

This weekend let’s have another open thread.  You can post in the comments topics that have come to your attention that might be of interest to your fellow Cranach subscribers.  You can also raise issues that would be profitable for us to discuss.

These can be big controversial issues, major developments in current events, religious insights, or just interesting or amusing thoughts and bits of information.

For example, last time we did this, Kirk proposed a thread on interesting animal facts, in which we learned some fascinating information about whales (whose milk is the consistency of toothpaste).  Whereupon MarkB came back with an account of his close encounters with the leviathans.  An enjoyable exchange!
