Discuss: Funding Candidates You Don’t Believe In

Democrats have been pursuing a novel tactic in some primary races:  They give money and buy ads to support what they consider the worst, most extreme Republican candidates, in the hopes that they will prove to be easier for the Democratic candidate to beat.  So, yes, leftists are funding right wingers.  Progressives are campaigning for candidates endorsed by Donald Trump.

The Democratic Party is spending millions of dollars to defeat moderate Republicans, funding instead election-denying Trump supporters who, they think, will be easier to defeat.  Even though they believe the moderates would be better for the country, they hope to hurt the Republican Party by making it as extreme as possible.
