DISCUSS: The Person of the Year

DISCUSS: The Person of the Year

Every year since 1927, Time Magazine has selected a Person of the Year, the individual who “for better or for worse …has done the most to influence the events of the year”.

For 2025, Time chose the “Architects of AI.”   That strikes me as a pretty apt choice.  I’m just thankful they didn’t make AI itself the Person of the Year, since much of the world is treating it like a person!

Whom would you choose?  Or who or what else would be deserving?

Thinking about this will involve looking back on 2025, which we’ll be doing this next week, building up to New Year’s Eve on Wednesday, when we’ll check our predictions for the year.  Then on New Year’s Day, as is our custom, we will make our new predictions for 2026.  Be thinking about what you think will happen!
