And now Vermont has gay marriage

The Vermont state legislature legalized gay marriage by over-riding the governor’s veto. Now four states allow for same-sex marriage. The others–Connecticut, Massachusetts and Iowa — did so through court action. Vermont did it by legislative action. Four more state legislatures are considering similar action: New Hampshire, Maine, New York, and New Jersey.

Do you have any doubt that this will pass in all of these states? And won’t the “full faith and credit” clause of the Constitution, which requires all states to recognize each other’s laws, legalize gay marriage even in states that don’t approve it? If this happens, how will churches that don’t believe in such marriages deal with it?
