I am pleased to present a podcast of Radio Free Christendom in which I am interviewed by my friend Steven Wedgeworth.

The interview addresses reaching men, why the Industrial Revolution precipitated the crisis of masculinity, why Mark Driscoll is sort of goofy, and why the traditional role of men in the household is important for understanding how salvation works.

(In other words, more rides on masculinity than a man’s ego.)

The interview is about 45 minutes long and is available on Soundcloud. (Click to follow to Soundcloud.)

If you’ve wondered what I sound like, wonder no more.

Here are some links to things referred to in the podcast:

Christ Church Lakeland

Presbyterian Church of Manchester

Iron John by Robert Bly

Wild at Heart by John Eldredge (which I am saddened to see is #1 in men’s issues at Amazon).

The Calvinist International

And last of all, a photo of my pulpit.

My pulpit. I designed it and it was built by a furniture maker in my church. It is made from hand selected quarter-sawn red oak from the Berkshire Mountains.
