A “Vote Biblical Values Rally” was held this Sunday evening, November 1st at Grace Church in the Woodlands, Texas, including a large crowd that met in-person and with supporters from across Texas participating live on their Texas Values Facebook page.

The event was cosponsored by the Texas Pastor Council, Concerned Women for America of Texas, and the Family Research Council. Featured speakers were:

  • Jonathan Saenz, President of Texas Values
  • Pastor Dave Welch, founder and president of Texas Pastor Council
  • Rick Green, Wallbuilders and Patriot Academy
  • Pastor Steve Riggle, Senior Pastor of Grace Church
  • Pastor Jorge Tovar, Pastor of Jordan River Church
  • Ann Hettinger, State Director of Concerned Women of America of Texas
  • Joseph Backholm, Family Research Council

“On Election Day, November 3rd, the future direction of our nation and our freedoms is at stake,” the Texas Pastors Council states. “As Christians, we must be committed to our highest calling of honoring God with every part of our life – including voting biblically!”

It has also published a voter’s guide and other helpful resources related to voting.

Texas Values argues that voting is a way for Christians to vote:

On a national scale, evangelist Franklin Graham also announced Sunday:

“The election this Tuesday is the most critical in my lifetime. The results will determine the future of our country for years, even decades, to come and affect the lives of our children and grandchildren. Two vastly different agendas are being set before us, and we need to turn to God and ask for His hand of protection on this great nation.”

He’s calling on believers to come together nationally online to pray for America and to  on Facebook Live Monday, Nov. 2, at 8 p.m. I hope individuals, families, and churches will join me in asking for the Lord’s help and for His will to be done.

Graham also cites a verse from Isaiah to offer a word of encouragement: “Turn to Me and be saved, all the ends of the earth! For I am God, and there is no other.” (Isa. 45:22)

Key issues to consider when voting values, they explain, include preserving and protecting the sanctity of life, marriage and the family, and religious liberty.
