2 Kings 10: Serve God Fully

2 Kings 10: Serve God Fully

Yet Jehu was not careful to keep the law of the Lord, the God of Israel, with all his heart. He did not turn away from the sins of Jeroboam, which he had caused Israel to commit. -2 Kings 10:31

Jehu had obeyed some of God’s commands, but that was not enough to be recorded in Scripture as a godly man. We are also told that Jehu was not careful to keep the law of the Lord with all his heart.

This same problem remains today. Many who follow God do so faithfully, but only partially. They wish to serve God and look good among others. They seek God’s favor and their own. Yet this is not what the great men and women and Scripture are known for. Those used greatly by God did not serve him partially, but fully.

Do you want to be one known for your passion for God? Nothing less than one hundred percent commitment is required. You must serve the Lord, and serve him only. Don’t settle for only partially following God. Serve him fully.
