“All Solomon’s work was carried out, from the day the foundation of the temple of the Lord was laid until its completion. So the temple of the Lord was finished.” -2 Chronicles 8:16
The Bible points out many of Solomon’s flaws, but one areas stands out as key in the positive aspects of his life. When he was called to build the temple, there was a clear note regarding one aspect–Solomon finished the work.
It’s easy to start something God calls us to do; it’s much more difficult to finish it. Finishing is the difference. Desire, dreams, plans, good intentions, and sincerity are all important, but finishing is the goal.
What has God called you to do? It may take a day or a lifetime. Regardless, we must not only start well, but finish well. Refocus today with this clear goal in mind–to finish God’s plans for your life.
