Joshua 12: A Promise Fulfilled

Joshua 12: A Promise Fulfilled 2012-10-03T15:24:55-04:00

“Moses, the servant of the Lord, and the Israelites conquered them. And Moses the servant of the Lord gave their land to the Reubenites, the Gadites and the half-tribe of Manasseh to be their possession.” -Joshua 12:6

God keeps his promises. He may move at a pace we would not prefer, but he does finish what he begins. When Israel finished its battles against its enemies, they were able to move in and develop their new communities. This might not sound like that big of a deal, but imagine living as a nomad for forty years! A place to call home would be a dream come true.

In the case of Israel, war had ended and a new era had begun. Moses no longer led the nation, but the nation continued to benefit from his years of leadership from Egypt to their new land.

Whenever you begin to question whether God is going to come through and answer your need, remember: God always keeps his promises. Always has; always will.
