2 Samuel 22: Praise

2 Samuel 22: Praise 2013-02-08T10:09:41-05:00
47 “The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock!

    Exalted be my God, the Rock, my Savior!
48 He is the God who avenges me,
    who puts the nations under me,
49     who sets me free from my enemies.
You exalted me above my foes;
    from a violent man you rescued me.
50 Therefore I will praise you, Lord, among the nations;
    I will sing the praises of your name. -2 Samuel 22:47-50

The entire chapter of 2 Samuel 22 is a song of praise. But why? It was the result of David’s thanks to God for saving him from his enemies.
We often ask God for things, yet forget to thank him when he provides.
Today, pause. How has God answered you lately? Like David, you could make a list. As you do, you’ll find yourself giving thanks to God for his provision.
Don’t rush through this day without taking time to look to the one who has given every answer you need. He is the Lord, the Rock, the one worthy of all our praise.
